One of the best Branson Shows starring Tom Mullica, a close friend of the late Red Skelton, expertly impersonates the comedian and his host of lovable characters. He magically transforms himself into Skelton live on stage complete with rubber-faced pantomimes, ageless sight gags, obscenity-free jokes and heart-warming moments. Skelton’s gawky and silent open-mouthed laugh, the easy Midwestern drawl, and his characters’ flirtations with anger and frustration flow easily from Mullica. He never breaks character, ad-libbing as Skelton with the audience and introducing each classic routine. Skelton’s flair for physical comedy is best reflected in Mullica’s reprise of ‘Guzzler’s Gin,’ a Skelton favorite bit in which a thirsty TV pitchman gets positively pig-eyed. Mullica handles Skelton’s voices, mannerisms and expressions with the skill of a veteran actor who cares deeply about his subject. Don’t miss one of the funniest shows in Branson, Missouri.
