There is much appreciation for country music and rock in the Midwest, and tributes abound. The Comets, of Bill Haley and the Comets, don't put on a tribute; they're doing the real thing. Real, live and authentic, The Comets are the first band to fuse country and western with rhythm and blues to create rock ‘n’ roll—bring the golden era of rock alive in the beautiful Dick Clark American Bandstand Theater.
